TERMS OF USE AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

Thank you for purchasing from Sand Dollar Candle Company LLC (“Sand Dollar Candle Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Our products are designed to be enjoyed safely when used as directed. Please read these Terms of Use and Safety Guidelines carefully before using our candles or wax melts.

By purchasing, handling, or using our products, you agree to these Terms. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in injury or property damage.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing or using any product from Sand Dollar Candle Company LLC, you acknowledge and agree to comply with these Terms of Use and Safety Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use our products.

2. Candle Safety Guidelines

To reduce the risk of fire, injury, or damage, always follow these safety guidelines:

• Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish candles before leaving a room or going to sleep.

• Place candles on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.

• Keep candles away from flammable materials, including curtains, paper, books, fabrics, and décor.

• Do not place candles in enclosed or confined spaces such as bookcases, cabinets, or shadowboxes.

• Always use candle containers and holders as intended.

• Keep candles out of reach of children and pets at all times.

• Trim the wick to approximately ¼ inch (6 mm) before each use to reduce soot, uneven burning, or excessive flame.

• Burn candles in a well-ventilated area.

• Avoid drafts, vents, or air currents that may cause uneven burning or flame flare-ups.

• Do not burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time.

• Never move or pick up a candle while it is burning or while the container is hot.

• Always allow the candle and container to cool completely before handling.

• Extinguish candles using a candle snuffer or by gently smothering the flame. Never use water.

• Candles and wax melts are not edible.

• Do not expose candles to water or moisture.

3. Wax Melt Safety Guidelines

• Use wax melts only in tea-light warmers or UL-listed electric warmers approved for wax melts.

• Follow all manufacturer instructions for your warmer.

• Never leave a wax warmer unattended while in use.

• Keep wax warmers out of reach of children and pets.

• Do not add water to wax melts.

• Do not melt wax on stovetops or in unapproved appliances.

• Use only in well-ventilated areas away from flammable materials.

• Discontinue use if the dish contains less than ½ inch of wax.

4. Product Warnings

• Do not use container candles if the vessel is cracked, chipped, or damaged.

• Never burn a candle completely to the bottom of the container. Stop use when approximately ½ inch of wax remains to prevent overheating or container damage.

5. Product Care & Storage

To preserve quality and performance:

• Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat sources.

• Exposure to heat or sunlight may cause sweating, discoloration, or changes in texture.

6. Allergy & Sensitivity Notice

Our candles are made with high-quality fragrance oils that are:

• Phthalate-free

• Prop 65 compliant

• IFRA certified for safe use in home fragrance

Some fragrance oils are proprietary blends, and individual components may not be publicly listed. All fragrances are selected with human safety as a top priority.

As with any scented product, individual sensitivities may occur. If you have known allergies, asthma, or sensitivities, consult your healthcare provider prior to use. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available upon request.

Pet Safety Notice:

Our candles are designed for typical home use, and we have never experienced issues around pets in our own homes. However, fragrance oils are not specifically tested for animal exposure, as most manufacturers do not conduct pet-specific testing. If your pet has known sensitivities, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before use.

Sand Dollar Candle Company LLC is not responsible for damages, injuries, or losses resulting from improper use, misuse, or failure to follow these safety guidelines.

By using our products, you assume full responsibility for safe use.

We are not liable for:

• Damage caused by failure to follow instructions or warnings

• Personal injury, burns, fire damage, or smoke-related issues

• Incidental, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use or misuse

Additionally:

• Our products may not be used for illegal purposes.

• Our products may not be altered, repurposed, or resold in modified form.

8. A Note on Our Coastal Language

From time to time you may see phrases on our website or in our advertising such as “escape with a Sand Dollar Candle” or “let the scent transport you.” These expressions are simply part of the storytelling and atmosphere behind our coastal-inspired brand.

While our candles are thoughtfully crafted to create beautiful fragrance and ambiance, these phrases are intended as imaginative and descriptive language rather than literal claims about the effects of our products. Individual scent experiences may vary.

At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to bring a little warmth, fragrance, and coastal charm into your space.
