Our candles are hand-poured using a luxurious proprietary coconut wax blend, chosen for its exceptional scent throw, creamy appearance, and smooth, even burn. Coconut wax is known for producing minimal soot and allowing fragrances to perform at their best, which is why it’s favored by premium candle makers.

 

We source our wax exclusively from trusted suppliers whose materials meet established industry safety standards. When used as directed, candles made with properly tested ingredients are considered safe to enjoy — a position supported by the National Candle Association.

Why do candle prices vary so much?

 

Not all candles are made the same — and pricing reflects the materials, craftsmanship, and standards behind them.

 

Candle prices can vary based on:

​

    •    the type and quality of wax 

    •    fragrance concentration and grade

    •    wick type and performance testing

    •    vessel quality and durability

    •    small-batch vs. mass production

    •    quality control and regulatory compliance

 

For example, coconut wax — the foundation of our candles — is one of the most premium candle waxes available. Our candle blend is predominantly 100% coconut wax. It costs significantly more to source and produce than many conventional waxes, but it delivers superior fragrance performance, a smoother appearance, and a more consistent burn.

 

While some candles are designed for high-volume, low-cost manufacturing, boutique candles are crafted for performance, beauty, and refinement.

 

When you compare candles, you’re not just comparing size — you’re comparing ingredients, craftsmanship, and the standards behind how they’re made.

What Type of Wicks Do You Use?

 

We use high-quality cotton wicks that are:

    •    zinc-free

    •    carefully selected for consistency and performance

 

Each wick is tested with our custom wax blend and vessel size to ensure an even melt pool, steady flame, and optimal performance from the first burn to the last.

What Kind of Fragrances Do You Use?

 

We use premium, highly-concentrated fragrance oils for a superior scent. They are formulated specifically for home fragrance and candles. All fragrances used are:

    •    Prop 65 compliant

    •    IFRA certified for their intended use

 

Some fragrance oils are proprietary blends (we are not privy to), which means individual components aren’t always publicly listed. However, every oil we use is thoroughly evaluated for safe use in candles according to established industry guidelines.

 

As with any scented product, individual sensitivities can vary. If you have known allergies or sensitivities, we recommend reviewing ingredients with your healthcare provider. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available upon request.

 

A note about pets:

Our candles are designed for typical home use, and we have never experienced issues around pets in our own homes. However, fragrance oils are not specifically tested for animal exposure, as most manufacturers do not conduct pet-specific testing. If your pet has known sensitivities, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before use.
